If you rush the drying and put pieces that are still wet into the kiln, you
end up with shards and dust. Definitely a waste!
Occasionally a flub will produce an Object de Art. Here you can see the delicate curve of the expertly placed break
which was introduced by the deft hand of the artist (with a little help from the
kiln). This fine
example of artistry by default, coupled with the appropriate mounting, should command
the highest price. |
